Stories: Carter Town

Like I mentioned in my first post, I've heard numerous tales of ghosts and other paranormal phenomena through out my childhood. There are two tales I have heard the most. The one of the haunted Cartersville church is the one I am most interested to learn about. It is said that if you were to go inside this abandoned structure at night you will hear the footsteps of a young girl, who was supposedly killed in an Indian raid, or so I'm told by a friend living in the area. The other tale, told to me by a local, of the spirit of a church minister who can be seen standing at the podium silently preaching. Both haunting stories are intriguing, however the one with the little girl seems the most disturbing to me. There's just something about the combination of death and children that sends a shiver down my spine!

  1. I've always been interested in visiting a haunted place but sadly haven't gotten a chance to, yet. ):

And, little kids haunting a place has always disturbed me as well. I just wonder why they're still haunting the place and not with their deceased loved ones.

What really gets to me, are children EVP's. They always break my heart if it's a recording of a kid saying tearfully, "I'm cold." or just a baby crying.
